Roan Mountain, Tennessee - Margie Mitchell, age 73, of Roan Mountain, Tennessee went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 20, 2025, at the Johnson City Medical Center. Margie was born in Hahira, Georgia on September 10, 1952, the daughter of the late James Henry Mathis and Eliza Ann (Flanders) Mathis.

Margie was the Senior Vice President/ COO of Kennedy Space Center Federal Credit Union in Merrit Island, Florida.

Those left to cherish and remember Margie include her beloved husband of 55 years, Ron Mitchell of the home; two children, David (Heather) Mitchell of Titusville, Florida and Brian (Rebekah) Mitchell of Denver, Colorado; and two grandchildren, Colin Mitchell and Drew Mitchell both of Titusville, Florida.

A celebration of Margie's life will be conducted at 6:00 PM on Thursday, October 23, 2025, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Thursday. The service will be livestreamed from the chapel.
