Dahlonga, GA - Mary Louise Zangaglia Vindish, age 72, passed away March 12, 2026 at her home surrounded by family. She was born on March 27, 1953, in Pennsylvania, the only child of Helen and Charles Zangaglia.

Mary shared 53 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Stephen J. Vindish. As an Air Force family, Mary and Steve enjoyed many adventures and lived in several places before eventually settling in South Georgia. She was always eager for the next adventure—traveling, seeing new places, and visiting family along the way.

Mary was a devoted mother to her three children: Stephen C. (Karen) Vindish, Stephanie (Barry) Butler, and Darcy Rainey. She was especially proud of her eight grandchildren: Bryson (Kaitlyn) Butler, Allison Butler, Landon Rainey, Marley Rainey, Delanie Vindish, Stevie Vindish, Joseph Vindish, and Mary Marie Vindish. She treasured time spent with them and loved sharing life's special moments together.

Mary dedicated many years to caring for her family as a stay-at-home mother. She later worked as a dental assistant before returning to school to earn her master's degree and become a Media Specialist. In that role, she shared her love of reading and learning with the many students she served.

Mary loved music and could often be found dancing. She also enjoyed reading, learning new things, walking, and yoga. Mary was a member of St. Luke the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Dahlonega.

Mary Louise will be remembered for her faith, her deep love for family and friends, her joyful spirit, and her lifelong curiosity and love of learning.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home in Dahlonega from 4 - 6 pm. Another celebration of life for South Georgia family and friends will be held Friday, March 27, 2026, at New Lois Community Methodist Church Social Hall, 2978 South Coffee Rd. in Nashville from 4 - 6 p.m.
