Valdosta, GA - Nancy Jo Branson, 87, of Valdosta, died on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at South Georgia Medical Center following a short illness. She was born on April 14, 1938, in Scottsdale, Arizona to the late Joseph Glenn and Hazel Curtis Riley. She was a homemaker, loved to play bridge, and loved being a member of First Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband, H. Dean Branson of Valdosta; her daughter and son-in-law, Terry and Walter Peacock of Valdosta; her grandchildren, Cameron Thomson, Georgia Dean Thomson, Riley Ball, and Graham (Caitlin) Ball; step-children, Ken (Tina) Branson and Kathy Branson; her step-grandchildren, Spencer Brown and Paige Perks; great grandchildren, Ava French and Jack Ball; brothers, Tim Riley, David Riley, Wayne Riley, Dennis Riley, and Billy Board. She was preceded by her daughters, Jenny Haverland and Cindy Ball, brother Sonny Riley and sister, Patricia Spidell.
A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at First Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Christian Church. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com. Carson McLane.
