Adel, GA - Peggy Kent, 85, of Adel, died Friday, March 20, 2026, at her residence.

She was born November 24, 1940, in Berrien County to the late Sly James Faulkner and the late Ethel Rowan Faulkner. She was a retired principal with the Berrien County Board of Education after 33 years of service and was a member of the Gordon Avenue Baptist Church. She was very faithful, always supported numerous charities and loved the Atlanta Braves. She was the widow of Eugene Talmadge "Gene" Kent who died in 2015 and was also preceded in death by a brother: Wayne Faulkner.

She is survived by her son: Clark Kent of Adel; sister: Gloria Harrell of Valdosta; granddaughter: Dr. Kristen Kent (Christopher) Noty of Harrisburg, PA; great granddaughter: Mave; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Ray officiating. Interment will follow in the Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Tuesday one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
