Sandra F. "Sandy" Hafemann, 64, of Port St Lucie, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2025, after an enduring battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Known for her resilient and outspoken nature, Sandy will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and the community she loved so deeply.
Sandy was born on July 29, 1960, in Selma, Alabama, to parents Juanita Howell and stepfather Earl Dean Burgess both of whom preceded her in death. She grew up surrounded by family, Sandy is had 4 sisters, Teresa J. Cottingham deceased.
Nelda J. Hunter husband Daniel Hunter, Susan K. Hunter husband Lee Hunter, Donna M. Tomlinson husband, Johnny Tomlinson, and her beloved daughters, Jamie A Carpenter, husband Charles K. Carpenter grandchildren Cayden C. Carpenter, and Connor T. Carpenter. Daughter Alisha N. Casagrande husband Rico Casagrande, granddaughter Leila A. M. Casagrande, and grandson Thomas A. B. Casagrande.
Sandy shared a special bond with her identical twin sister, Susan. Together, they shared countless memories and adventures. She loved live music, traveling and motorcycle riding. Sandy was deeply passionate about her family, always prioritizing her daughters and grandchildren in her life.
A passionate learner and driven professional, Sandy graduated from Palm Beach State College as a Paralegal, later earning both her realtor's license and Broker's license in real estate. Sandy had an undeniable enthusiasm for life:
Sandy was a devoted member and volunteer at Grace Family Church in Port St Lucie, where she embraced her faith as a born-again Christian. She also maintained active membership in the American Legion Post 318.
A Celebration of Sandy's Life will take place at Grace Family Church on May 24, 2025, at 10:30 AM, followed immediately by a brunch gathering. A graveside service will later be held at Good Hope Church Cemetery, in Naylor, GA, with the date to be announced.
Sandy's courage, her deep devotion to family, and her vibrant spirit made a lasting impact on all who knew her. She will forever be cherished.
