Valdosta, GA - Sara Ellen Dasher White of Valdosta passed away on April 24, 2026. Born in Valdosta on August 23, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Molly Lee Copeland Dasher and Caulie William Dasher, Sr. She was the salutatorian of the Valdosta High School Class of 1951 and a faithful member of the Central Avenue Church of Christ.
She is survived by her son, Tim White, and her daughter, Jenny White; her brothers-in-law, Roy White (Ethelene) of Union City, TN, and Henry White (Marilyn) of Columbia, MO; her sister-in-law, Snow Griggs of Fairview, TN; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David H. White, Jr.; her sister and brother-in-law, Freda Mae Dasher Schurr and George Schurr; her sister, Iva Nell Dasher; her brothers and sisters-in-law, C.W. Dasher, Jr. and Margie Dasher, Joseph Glynn Dasher and Gerry Dasher, and Raymond Dasher and Anne Dasher; and her brothers, Lynnel Dasher and Vernon Dasher.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to her caregivers, Glicette and Janet, for their kindness and devoted care.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Dasher Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at www.mclanecares.com.
