Shelby Hendrix Obituary

Mrs. Shelby Jean Delk Hendrix, 72, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2018, in the Clinch Memorial Hospital, Homerville, GA, following an extended illness.


Mrs. Hendrix was born October 28, 1945, in Stockton, GA to the late David Clayton Delk and Thelma Carter Delk. She had worked for B-Way and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Fargo Church of God. She was preceded in death by one sister: Faye Thrift and two brothers: Charles Delk and Steve Delk.


Survivors are her husband: Horace Hendrix, Homerville; one daughter and son-in-law: Karen & Joey McConnell, Hahira; two sons and daughters-in-law: Keith & Janessa Hendrix and Eric & Stacie Hendrix, all of Homerville; six grandchildren: Erica Hendrix, Layton Hendrix, Jodie McConnell, Aryn McConnell, Keaton Hendrix and Kelby Hendrix; one sister: Susie Ethridge, Lakeland, GA; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.


Funeral services for Mrs. Hendrix will be held Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018 at two o'clock at the Fargo Church of God.


Interment will be in the Shiloh Church Cemetery.


The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 till 2 p.m. at the Fargo Church of God.


Flowers will be accepted or donations to the Fargo Church of God, 274 Georgia Hwy. 94, Fargo, Georgia, 31631.
