Mrs. Sue Nell Vining, 94 of Barney, Georgia passed away March 12, 2023 at her daughter's residence in Barney. She was born October 26, 1928 in Atkinson County to the late Frank Vining and Pearl Woodard Vining. Mrs. Vining lived most of her life in Cook County and was a retired waitress and homemaker.

She is survived by her children: Linda Sue Varella of Valdosta, Georgia, Rodney Dell Varella of Eufaula, Alabama, Owen Vining, III of Jacksonville, Florida, Carolyn Wilson of Lake Park, Georgia, Christine Dell of Barney, Kevin Crews of Jacksonville, Florida, Gail Croft of Sparks, Georgia, Tony Vining of Moultrie, Georgia and Jeff Vining of Adel, Georgia; 28 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Owen Vining, Jr.; her son, Roger carl Vining; her daughter, Mary Vining; grandsons, Scotty Flanders and Jason Sirmans; and great-grandson, Reid Crosby.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. Brandy Sanders officiating. A private interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Boone Funeral Home, Inc.; 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave.; Adel, Georgia.
